Essentials and Extras

All funded sessions

Government funding covers up to 30 hours per week (term time) of free, high-quality childcare. However, it does not cover the costs of meals, snacks, consumables, additional hours, or educational outings and enrichment activities. At Honley School Daycare & School Street Nursery, we consider these elements essential to delivering high-quality care and education. To maintain this standard and ensure sustainability, we charge separately for these items.

These costs are optional, and parents may opt out by providing alternatives (e.g. packed lunch) or declining optional enrichment activities that are not part of the Early Years Foundation Stage requirements.

If you are unable or unwilling to pay our ‘Essentials & Extras charge', please contact the Childcare Manager to discuss alternative options. Opt-outs can be made termly, with 30 days’ notice prior to the start of the funding term. Please contact Sammi Brown, Childcare Manager, if you wish to opt out.

This will be raised on your following monthly invoice.

Late Payment Fee

Invoices will be raised and distributed by the 15th of each month in advance for the following month. All payments are to be made within 15 days of the invoice date and no later than the 1st of the month. A late payment charge of £25 will be applied to payments received after this period. If payment is not made within an additional 14 days, the child’s place at the setting may be withdrawn.
